The Gardiner Museum is Canada’s national ceramics museum, and one of the world’s great specialty museums. The Gardiner strives to be an inviting destination that inspires and connects people, art and ideas through clay. In addition to a world-renowned collection of ceramic objects, the museum is also a hub of activity related to clay and ceramic art.
SOS was approached by the Gardiner Museum to help redesign and redevelop their website. Their new website needed to be the primary vehicle for communicating the museum’s new vital and audacious brand as well as assist in building awareness for potential new visitors/patrons and serve as a transactional platform for visitors to engage with the museum and its many offerings (e.g., purchase admission, clay classes, etc.) The new website would also feature an online gift shop — an entirely new venture for the museum.
In addition to the front-end overhaul of the website, SOS also worked closely with the Gardiner to help streamline and implement the integration of their other major systems including a migration to WordPress and synchronization with their existing Accounting, CRM and Point of Sale software.
